We had a customer call about his broken hardtop. Several locations of the frame were beyond repair, so we built a new one. 2″ aluminum pipe is much stronger than 1.5″ aluminum pipe. The curved pipe gives this aluminum hardtop frame a sleek design. We had to cover up old mounting holes in the console and hard top, so this build was challenging.
4 Rod Holders are standard for all of our custom fiberglass hardtops. Several options are offered as upgrades, such as additional rod holders, outrigger plates, grab rails, and spreader lights. This hardtop design had 1 forward spreader light and 2 rear spreader lights. This light setup is what we offer for our Deluxe Fiberglass Hardtop. We have several different sizes and styles of fiberglass hardtops that can be used. The smallest fiberglass top is 85″ and the largest is 108″. We have several dozens of gel coat colors, so a perfect match to the boat can be achieved. A perfect color match is important when starting a new hardtop build.
We installed this custom hardtop frame with stainless steel screws and marine adhesive. The adhesive provides a secure bond and the stainless hardware will not rust. Anodized aluminum offers protection against corrosion and it looks amazing. If you’re wanting your custom hardtop frame to be powder coated, we offer that as well. Powder Coating is available in more than 100 colors. When customers have their T Tops and Hardtop Frames powder coated, they ask us to powder coat the leaning post and other boat parts as well.
